Brown Welcomes 2024 Match Class to its General Psychiatry and Triple Board Residency Programs

The Brown University Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior announced that 13 medical students from across the country will be joining its psychiatry residency programs in June. The students were matched through the National Resident Matching Program, which is based on a mutual ranking system.

Ten of the newly matched trainees will enter Brown's Adult General Psychiatry Residency.

"We are delighted to match with this accomplished group of ten residents," says Adult General Psychiatry Training Director Tracey Guthrie, M.D. "They will be joining us from California, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Massachusetts, Texas, New York, and Rhode Island. Three also have Ph.D. degrees, in addition to their medical degree. This group includes members of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. We are looking forward to seeing them later this spring!"

The other three matched trainees will join Brown's Triple Board Residency in Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

“We are very excited to welcome our new Triple Board residents who epitomize all that is good about medicine," says Triple Board Program Training Director Dr. Jeffrey Hunt. "They are bright, passionate, holistic, and socially attuned professionals who will surely substantively impact the lives of the patients and families they will treat in the future as residents.”

Congratulations to the newest cohorts of Brown psychiatry residents!
