Prof. Lauren Weinstock, Ph.D., is one of two recipients of this year's Service Award from the Society for a Science of Clinical Psychology (SSCP). The award recognizes sustained, significant, and outstanding service to the organization.
“For me, this is a meaningful recognition, especially in light of everything that SSCP has historically done for our field – with its strong commitment to the scientific principles that uphold the practice of clinical psychology, but also training the next generation of clinical psychologists,” Weinstock said. “To be able to give back to SSCP through my service, and especially to the students and future of the field, is a privilege.”
Weinstock, who directs Brown's Clinical Psychology Internship Program, has a long record of service to SSCP. Most recently, she assisted with student-led initiatives within the organization to gather and disseminate information on the internship application and match process.
