Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship graduates Shayna Jenny Popkin and Jessica Soto present the inaugural DPHB Advocacy Award to the family of Clinical Assistant Professor Ruby Lee, who was recognized posthumously.

Faculty, trainees, their families, and friends gathered at Alumnae Hall on Friday, June 14 for a reception and graduation ceremonies to honor the 49th graduating class of the Brown Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior (DPHB).

In her first graduation message as DPHB Chair, Audrey Tyrka, M.D., Ph.D. urged the 77 graduates to remain connected to their meaningful work serving the mental health of others:

"Graduates, as you embark on your careers as clinicians, educators, and researchers, I hope you find fulfillment and purpose in your work. The relationships you’ve built during your years at Brown will be some of the most significant in your careers. As you begin the next chapter, remember the deep satisfaction that comes from giving to others and contributing to a cause."

In addition to honoring the graduates, the event also featured a presentation of awards. Names of graduates and award recipients can be found below.
