Asst. Prof. Ariana Albanese, Ph.D., has been selected for a fellowship at the Implementation Research Institute (IRI) of Washington University in St. Louis. The two-year fellowship helps participants develop a research agenda and prepare a competitive grant proposal in implementation science.
“Becoming a member of IRI means joining a network of implementation scientists who recognize how critical mentorship is to bringing about the best possible future for our field,” Albanese said. "During the in-person programming in June, I was struck by the level of dedication to mentorship that the expert faculty demonstrated. They were so generous with their time and knowledge. As an early career scientist, this is an invaluable resource."
As part of the IRI program, Albanese joins a cohort of eleven fellows who convene at the Center for Mental Health Services Research at Washington University for a week of collaborative training each summer. The fellows receive ongoing mentorship from leaders in implementation science throughout the year.
Albanese is the latest in a string of researchers affiliated with the BRIDGE program, Brown’s implementation science core, who have participated in the IRI fellowship. Prior IRI fellows include Margaret Crane, Ph.D. (2025), Ruben Martinez, Ph.D. (2024), Hannah Frank, Ph.D. (2023), and Rani Elwy, Ph.D. (2012).
