Discrimination, Bias, and Harassment Reporting
The Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior is committed to supporting and sustaining an academic culture of belonging marked by civility and respect. We follow the policies of Brown University, the affiliated hospitals, and the National Institutes of Health regarding discrimination, bias, harassment, and other conduct. The DPHB encourages all faculty, staff, and trainees to report suspected and/or actual incidents through the institutional channels below.

The Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity provides oversight of policies and procedures to ensure that Brown University is compliant with relevant federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines. These include policies and procedures relating to discrimination and harassment; sexual and gender-based harassment and violence (Title IX); equal employment opportunity (EEO) (Title VII); disabilities resources and accommodations (ADA/504); non-retaliation; and affirmative action.
