Cintly Celis-de Hoyos, M.A.

Program Manager

Biography

Cintly received her master’s in clinical psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2012. She joined the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown in June 2012 as a clinical research interviewer, and worked on various research projects of serious mental illness with Drs. Shirley Yen and Lauren Weinstock, including a longitudinal study of bipolar disorder in youth, a study evaluating treatment decisions among pregnant and postpartum participants with bipolar disorder, and projects examining the critical transition following inpatient hospitalization or incarceration, for adults with bipolar disorder. Broadly, Cintly’s research interests involve examining the boundaries between mood and related disorders, and contributing to efforts to improve wellbeing among individuals living with serious mental illness. She is also very invested in mentoring junior research staff.

Cintly joined BRIDGE as Program Manager in October 2023, and collaborates with Drs. Elwy and Frank in managing the day-to-day of BRIDGE. She also supervises the two BRIDGE research assistants, Ruby Cramer and Aden Littlewood.
