
Cintly Celis-de Hoyos, M.A.
Biography
Cintly received her master’s in clinical psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She joined the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown in June 2012 as a clinical research interviewer, and worked on research projects of serious mental illness with Drs. Shirley Yen and Lauren Weinstock, including a longitudinal study of bipolar disorder in youth, a study evaluating treatment decisions among pregnant and postpartum participants with bipolar disorder, and projects examining the critical transition following inpatient hospitalization or incarceration, for adults with bipolar disorder.
Broadly, Cintly’s research interests involve examining the boundaries between mood and related disorders, and she is committed to contributing to efforts to improve wellbeing among individuals living with serious mental illness. She is also very invested in mentoring junior research staff.
Cintly joined the Brown Research on Implementation and Dissemination to Guide Evidence Use (BRIDGE) Program as Program Manager in October 2023, and she works closely with Drs. Elwy and Frank to manage the day-to-day of BRIDGE. She is highly engaged in developing and supporting all aspects of the execution of key BRIDGE initiatives and collaborations.
