Melissa Guillen, B.A.
Biography
Melissa Guillen, B.A. (MPH 2025) is the QSMTP’s lead Training Staff. She trains QSMTP Scholars in qualitative data collection and facilitation skills, as well as data coding and reduction. As a bilingual (Spanish and English) speaker, she supports Scholars to use qualitative skills in Spanish-speaking data contexts.
Melissa graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and is pursuing her Master’s in Public Health at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). She is currently a Research Project Director at The Miriam Hospital's Center for Behavioral and Preventive Medicine. Melissa has over 10 years of experience in qualitative research methods. Her personal research interests include women’s sexual and reproductive health with a focus on preventive care, and pre- and postnatal care.
