Postdoctoral fellow Linda Guzman, Ph.D., has been selected as a fellow in the Leadership Education to Advance Diversity (LEAD) Institute of the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (SCCAP). LEAD fellows, who are chosen bi-annually for their excellence in the field of clinical child and adolescent psychology, attend the SCCAP annual conference and participate in a series of lectures on leadership and professional skills.
“This award provides invaluable mentorship and training while also offsetting the cost of attending the SCCAP conference, making participation more accessible,” Guzman said. “The conference will allow me to connect with leading researchers, engage in critical discussions on culturally responsive care, and refine my leadership skills to better support children and families. I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity and excited for their support as I continue contributing to the field.”
The LEAD Institute aims to promote and advance educational and training opportunities for SCCAP members from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds. In addition to supporting conference attendance, the fellowship also provides free virtual learning opportunities.
Guzman is currently an implementation science fellow with the BRIDGE program. Last year, she received a clinical excellence award from the Society for Health Psychology.
