Biography
Christine K. Francis, Psy.D. (E.P. Bradley Hospital, 8/18/25-8/17/26) graduated from Lasell University, where her commitment to equitable practice was first sparked and nurtured by Dr. Jesse Tauriac and Dr. Sarahbeth Golden. She has earned awards for her work with children of mothers experiencing interpersonal violence, her mentorship of youth in Boston, and her contributions to professional panels. Throughout her doctoral studies at William James College, Dr. Francis centered her clinical training on children and families in high-acuity settings, with a specialized emphasis on Asian mental health. Her dissertation examined the dyadic father-son relationship within South Asian American families. Dr. Francis has consistently championed systemic change by leading agency-wide discussions, publishing in Psychology Today, and authoring statewide communications to celebrate cultural diversity in Massachusetts. She also played a key role in launching a partial hospitalization program specifically for women of color. Following the completion of her doctorate, her APA-accredited fellowship at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University focused on specialized care for high-risk adolescents. Driven by an unwavering pursuit of justice, authenticity, and compassion, Christine strives to foster belonging and cultural sensitivity for patients and staff alike. She graduates with profound gratitude for her mentors and their generous guidance; her supportive chosen family; her parents, Varghese and Beena Francis, who made countless sacrifices and taught her to cherish children through their example; her steadfast siblings, Elizabeth and Jacob; and her husband, Sam—her biggest cheerleader—and Sam’s family, who inspire her by showing up freely for their loved ones.
