Biography

Deanna Eilenberger, Psy.D. (Rhode Island Hospital, 9/5/23-9/4/25) graduated with a B.S. in general psychology and B.A. in art therapy from Marywood University in 2017. She subsequently pursued a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, earning a certificate of advanced proficiency in neuropsychology at Immaculata University. For her dissertation, she integrated recent research findings to propose an intermediate-length neuropsychological assessment battery for identifying HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disorder in resource limited settings. Deanna completed her clinical psychology pre-doctoral internship at the Carl T. Hayden Phoenix VA Medical Center (neuropsychology track), completing specialty rotations in the TBI clinic and Health Psychology. She provided brief psychotherapy within the Women Veteran Program, earning a certificate in reproductive mental health. After earning her Psy.D. in 2023, she went on to complete her postdoctoral fellowship within the Clinical Neuropsychology Specialty Program at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. In collaboration with her mentor Sarah Pillemer, Ph.D., Deanna’s research has focused on the predictive value of medical burden and mood symptoms on cognitive performances of individuals with multiple sclerosis. Deanna is excited to return to her home state of Pennsylvania following fellowship to work as a full-time clinical neuropsychologist for UPMC Neurology. She would like to thank her fantastic team of supervisors, Drs. Jennifer Davis, Seth Margolis, David Ahern, Melissa Buttaro, and Sarah Pillemer for their exceptional guidance and support. Lastly, she is forever grateful for the unwavering support of the many people who have always believed in her, including her family, friends, fiancé, and mentors.
