
Emily Fu, Ph.D.
Biography
Emily Fu, Ph.D. (The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, 8/1/24-7/31/25) completed her MPH at Yale School of Public Health before attending graduate school in clinical psychology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. During her graduate training, Dr. Fu completed a clinical emphasis in behavioral medicine, and her research focused on implementation science, integrated care, and behavior change. She received an NIH NRSA F31 training grant from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute to develop a measurement tool to quantify tailoring. Dr. Fu went on to complete her pre-doctoral clinical psychology internship at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in the Behavioral Medicine Track. She has been invited to give talks about her research and has received national awards, including the Society for Prevention Research Early Career Prevention Network Poster Finalist and the Society of Behavioral Medicine's Outstanding Dissertation Award. Following internship Dr. Fu remained at Brown within the Research Fellowship Program in the Implementation Science BRIDGE fellowship, under the mentorship of Dr. Hannah E. Frank. During postdoctoral fellowship, Dr. Fu has worked on multiple projects and publications applying implementation science to community and clinical settings. She has enjoyed building her implementation science teaching and consultation skills. After completing her fellowship, Dr. Fu will transition to a Primary Care Investigators Training in Chronic Disease & Health Disparities (PITCH) Fellow at the University of Chicago in the Departments of Medicine and Psychiatry & Behavioral Neuroscience.
