Ilana Ladis graduated from Wesleyan University in 2017 with a B.A. in psychology. Following graduation, she worked as a clinical research coordinator at the Center for OCD & Related Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). Following her time at MGH, Ilana began her doctoral studies at the University of Virginia, working under the mentorship of Dr. Bethany Teachman. During her second year at UVA, Ilana was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship to support her research focused on understanding risk factors for suicide-related outcomes and emotion dysregulation in daily life. Ilana advanced her clinical skills at UVA through completing practica at a memory and aging care clinic, a university counseling center, and at a hospital-based integrated primary care center. While on her clinical psychology pre-doctoral internship at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Ilana has furthered her clinical skills through completing rotations at Women & Infants Hospital and Butler Hospital. Ilana has also had the chance to collaborate with Dr. Lauren Weinstock on research related to care transitions for suicidal individuals. She will begin a postdoctoral position at an outpatient private practice starting this fall. She is grateful to her family, friends, and mentors for helping her make it to this point.
