Jason Andreas, DO
Biography
Jason Andreas, DO, is an Attending Psychiatrist and Physician Administrator at the state psychiatric hospital, serving both clinical and forensic roles. Dr. Andreas obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, then completed a master’s degree at Boston University. He then received his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He continued his training at Eastern Connecticut Health Network, then moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for his training in psychiatry at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health. Dr. Andreas then joined the Brown University Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship program, and graduated in 2022. He is an active member of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law, including their Forensic Hospital Services Committee. In his clinical role, Dr. Andreas is the attending psychiatrist for forensic inpatients, providing assessment and treatment recommendations for these individuals. Dr. Andreas also works as a forensic psychiatrist with the Forensic Service, a department of the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Health, assisting the judiciary with psychiatric complications of legal situations.
