
Linda Guzman, Ph.D.
Biography
Linda E. Guzman, Ph.D., earned her B.A. in Psychology, with a minor in Spanish, summa cum laude from UNC Greensboro, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Arkansas. She completed her pre-doctoral residency in Behavioral Medicine/Health Psychology at Brown University and is currently an NHLBI T32 Postdoctoral Fellow (T32HL176428) in the Training in the Pediatric Respiratory, Cardiovascular & Sleep Health Program (PIs: Koinis-Mitchell, Dennery, & McQuaid) in the Department of Pediatrics at Hasbro Children’s Hospital/Rhode Island Hospital and The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. From 2023 to 2025, she also completed a two-year implementation science fellowship with the Brown Research on Implementation and Dissemination to Guide Evidence Use (BRIDGE) Program, during which she submitted an NIMH R34 and a pilot R01 grant. Dr. Guzman has received national recognition for her community-engaged work, including being named SAMHSA’s Fellow of the Month (2022), receiving the Society for Health Psychology’s Postdoctoral Health Psychology Award for Clinical Excellence (2024), and being selected as a LEAD Institute Fellow by the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (2025). She currently serves as an elected student co-representative on the board of the Society for Implementation Research Collaboration (2023–2025). Her research focuses on developing evidence-based behavioral interventions that are accessible, culturally responsive, and designed to reduce gaps in access to mental health care. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
