Meghan Kulak, M.D.
Biography
Meghan J. Kulak, M.D., graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cornell University in 2015 with a BA in Biological Sciences. Dr. Kulak worked for two years as a research assistant at the Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Sciences before starting medical school at the University of Connecticut in 2021. Since arriving at Brown, she has been an active member of the R25 Research Training Program, with 3 first-author publications during residency and an honorable mention from the NIMH Outstanding Resident Award Program. She is the PI of two ongoing pilot studies focused on (1) understanding the effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) on the neurocircuitry of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and (2) exploring the feasibility of TMS as a treatment in postpartum OCD. After residency, she is thrilled to be staying at Butler hospital and continue to grow her clinical and research expertise in TMS and OCD treatment. Dr. Kulak would like to thank her incredible mentors, attendings, and training directors for their unwavering support over the past four years. She would also like to thank her husband, Evan, for all the work and support that happened behind the scenes to make this day a reality.
