
Stephanie Shoppell, Psy.D.
Biography
Stephanie Shoppell, Psy.D. (Rhode Island Hospital, 9/1/24-8/31/25) graduated from Salve Regina University with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in administrative justice. Upon completing her undergraduate studies, she pursued her master’s degree in forensic psychology at Roger Williams University. Stephanie then went on to Rhode Island College to earn her certificate in graduate studies to obtain her licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) licensure. During this time, she worked as a home-based clinician for Gateway Healthcare, then once licensed, worked as an outpatient provider at Bradley Hospital prior to deciding to return to graduate school. Stephanie pursued her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at William James College with a concentration in forensic and emphasis in child and family of adversity and resilience. She completed her clinical psychology pre-doctoral internship at Mental Health Centers of Florida where she was selected to be the chief intern. Stephanie is completing her postdoctoral fellowship at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University within the Clinical Child Psychology Specialty Program, participating in the Adolescent Forensic and Addiction Psychology program. During her time at Brown, she has had the privilege of being mentored by Drs. Kathleen Kemp, Robert Miranda, and Selby Conrad. She is eternally grateful to her mentors for their teaching and guidance throughout these years. She is also thankful to her family, friends, colleagues, and dog (Bluey) without whom she would not be here.
