    Research Profile

    A. Rani Elwy, Ph.D.,  Professor and Director of the Brown Research on Implementation and Dissemination to Guide Evidence Use (BRIDGE) program, joined the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior in July 2018 with a mission of creating a vibrant community of practice among residents, fellows and faculty who are interested in furthering their research in dissemination and implementation science. Dr. Elwy hosts regular office hours each week to work with faculty across the system of Brown-affiliated hospitals, along with psychiatry residents and clinical psychology interns and fellows.

    Dr. Elwy is honored to be selected for the 2024–2025 class of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Health Policy Fellows at the National Academy of Medicine in Washington DC. She will serve in this role from September 2024 through Summer 2025. While Dr. Elwy is away, Dr. Frank will serve as the Acting Director of the BRIDGE Program.

    Research Profile

    Hannah E. Frank, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor and the Associate Director of the Brown Research on Implementation and Dissemination to Guide Evidence Use (BRIDGE) program in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. In this role, she provides training, mentoring, and consultation on topics related to implementation science, and serves as a Site PI or Co-Investigator on a variety of grants funded by NIH and PCORI. Dr. Frank received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Temple University in 2020. She completed her residency training and T32 postdoctoral fellowship at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in the Pediatric Anxiety Research Center at Bradley Hospital.

    Dr. Frank is serving as the Acting Director of the BRIDGE Program from September 2024 through Summer 2025.

    Research Profile

    Ruben G. Martinez, Ph.D. is an assistant professor and acting associate director in the BRIDGE program in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. The primary goal of Dr. Martinez's work is to leverage equitable implementation methods to improve systems of care for youth experiencing health and mental health problems. At BRIDGE, he engages in consultation, mentorship and training related to implementation science and is heavily engaged in developing new program offerings. He serves as a site PI and co-investigator on several federally funded grants, including the IMPACT center, an NIMH ALACRITY center focused on optimizing implementation of EBPs for youth mental health problems in low-resource environments through piloting pragmatic, equity-focused implementation methods. He earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020 and completed his predoctoral residency and NIMH T32 postdoctoral fellowship at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA.

    Dr. Martinez is serving as the Acting Associate Director of the BRIDGE Program from September 2024 through Summer 2025.
